Abstract

Based on various granular attempts to recognise the multidimensional nature of sustainability, this chapter argues that green intellectual capital (GIC) becomes crucial for capitalizing upon the valuable interactions within a virtual space. Although emerging IC management literature highlights a wide range of scenarios of structuring knowledge over sustainability, research has not yet purposefully addressed scalable green business models across value chain partnerships. Along the line of GIC and sustainability body of research, the chapter aims at setting up an exploratory framework (an eco-knowledge hub) to inquire about the precursors of knowledge structuring capability. The methodological approach enables Lewins’s Force Field configurations of actual behaviour rooted in ranking factors affecting European e-retailers’ perception over GIC valuing. The specific focus of the study is to expose the benefits of IC green governance learning experience shared within an eco-knowledge hub. Findings recognize the impact of an eco-knowledge hub on adopting GIC learning practices, able to generate patterns of collective reflection over return on eco-labelling experience, enhancing the scalability of eco-systems.
