Abstract

Cross Phase Modulation (XPM) is one of the major limiting phenomena in small channel spacing wavelength division multiplexed radio over fiber system. In this paper, we have mathematically analyzed and investigated XPM induced crosstalk for V band (40 GHz to 75 GHz) & W band (75 GHz to 110 GHz) in radio over fiber system using Schrödinger equation including the effect of higher-order dispersion (HOD) parameters at the varied value of wavelength channel spacing ranges from 0.2 nm to 0.8 nm. It has been found that XPM crosstalk exponentially increases with the increase in input frequency and length of the fiber It has also been analyzed that XPM crosstalk decreases with the increase in value of channel spacing.
