A farm structure optimization problem is considered which is formulated as a multicriteria linear programming problem with uncertain coefficients. The uncertain data are expressed in terms of L-R type fuzzy numbers. According to a principle of comparison of fuzzy numbers proposed in the ‘FLIP’ method, the orginal problem is transformed into a multicriteria linear fractional programming problem which is then solved using an interactive procedure. A real numerical example of a farm structure optimization problem is solved using the ‘FLIP’ software on micro.
