An Approach to Improving the Efficiency of Assembly of Wood Laths

Abstract

An approach to the assembly of wood laths using the press with a new design is considered. The suggested approach decreases the duration of piezo treatment due to separation of the assembly process into two stages, namely, blocking of glued surfaces in a press and with termination of product gluing outside of a press until full polymerization of glue is achieved. A design of a press for implementation of the suggested assembly approach is suggested, and analytical relationships and results of experimental studies are given, which confirm the possibility of lath assembly on the equipment with a reduced travel period.
