Method for Assessing the Metrological Characteristics of Reference Measures of a Unit of the Complex Reflection Coefficient in Waveguides in the Millimeter Wavelength Range

Abstract

We perform the analysis of the current state of measurements of complex reflection coefficient in waveguides at millimeter wavelengths. We propose an approach to the solution of the problem of reproduction of the scale of measurements of the indicated coefficient and deduce mathematical relations that form a basis of these measurements. A method for finding the metrological characteristics of reference measures of the unit of reflection coefficient is developed. The results of electrodynamic modeling are compared with the results of analytic calculations according to the developed method. It is shown that the proposed method can be used to reproduce the unit of reflection coefficient in the creation of the State Primary Standard.
