Abstract

Imaging of trauma blood inside the head model by laser tomography device has been studied. Escaping back-reflected light has been collected in simulation run. Artificially placed inclusion has been recovered inside the white and gray brain matter. Inclusion has been reconstructed. Automatic coordinate determination method has been tested for source and detector positions. Drawing of geometric head model shape without help of utility imaging modalities has been aimed. The forward model photon fluence rate distributions have been generated by 2D Monte Carlo simulation, then translated to image reconstruction environment (MatLAB™).
