Siemens Digital Industries Software and the semiconductor IP provider ARM have announced a cooperation to bring together IP blocks, methods, processes, and tools. This will enable automotive manufacturers, integrators, and suppliers to develop and launch new vehicle platforms much faster. The combination of Siemens' Pave360 digital twin environment and ARM's IP blocks is said to support high-precision modeling techniques - from sensors and ICs to vehicle dynamics. Together with ARM's Automotive Enhanced products for functional safety, digital twin models could run entire software stacks providing early metrics of power consumption and performance. In addition, simulation and varification of subsystem and system-on-chip designs will be possible.
