Abstract
Lamellar Ni3Si was electrochemically prepared. Its structure and microhardness were controlled by the directional solidification growth rate and selective corrosion time. It exhibits strong corrosion resistance to acid and alkali. The mass of Ni3Si stationed in 50 wt pct H2SO4 and 25 wt pct NaOH after 200 hours remained 94.4 and 98.8 pct, respectively. The prepared Ni(OH)2/Ni3Si electrode using lamellar Ni3Si compound as a matrix delivered a higher areal capacity and cycle stability than the Ni(OH)2 electrode.
