Hawe Hydraulik offers a robot platform under the name ROVO that can be used for remote-controlled terrain surveying or as an autonomous transport vehicle, among other applications. According to the manufacturer, the robots, which ride on tracks, can reach speeds of up to 30 km/h in off-highway applications and transport payloads of up to 500 kg. The robots are equipped with an electric drive and a lithium-ion battery pack and can therefore be operated completely emission-free. They are already prepared as standard for attachments of various types and can thus be adapted to changing requirements. The robots are to be available with numerous interfaces, different transmission variants, drive modes and a wide variety of power supply options. According to the manufacturer, the integrated battery pack is designed as an exchangeable battery and can be quickly replaced on site without tools; the integrated battery management system and the built-in heater should enable use in a wide temperature range from -20 to 45 °C.
