Delo has developed a line lamp for curing adhesives and other multi-functional polymers that is suitable for highly automated processes in small and narrow production lines. It offers very high curing speeds and great flexibility for integration into production lines. It can be used, for example, in the lamination of thin-film solar cells. Due to its very high intensity of up to 30 W/cm², the lamp enables high speeds to be achieved for curing adhesives and other multi-functional polymers. The light intensity also allows large working distances of up to 100 mm from the lamp to the components. The lamp head measures 42.7 mm × 13 mm × 67.2 mm, which means that the lamp can be easily integrated into production systems. It produces a linear irradiated area of 38.7 mm × 8.45 mm and can be operated as a single head or can be combined to form a larger array. When the lamp heads are seamlessly combined in up to three directions, users can implement both individual and homogeneous exposure geometries. For example, a broad line of lamps can be used for the roll-to-roll lamination process of flexible thin-film solar cells, where adhesives are often needed to protect cells made of organic materials and perovskite from moisture ingress. The lamp is available as standard with water cooling suitable for cleanrooms with optimized water flow. The lamp is obtainable with wavelengths of 365 nm and 400 nm or optionally 460 nm, making it suitable for UV as well as light-curing products. Its service life is more than 20,000 hours. The lamphead is controlled and supplied with power by plug & play via the basic units of the series, which are available as touch and PLC-capable models. Both models feature automatic temperature compensation so that the LEDs deliver constant intensity even when they heat up. www.​delo-adhesives.​com
