Abstract

It is important to assess the oxidative injury in vivo accurately and inclusively, as the oxidative stress induced by various oxidants in a random and destructive fashion is considered to play an important role in the pathophysiology of a number of human disorders. A method for the measurement of lipid peroxidation products in vivo, such as hydroxyoctadecadienoic acids (HODE) and 7-hydroxycholesterol (OHCh) determined by GC-MS and LC-MS/MS, is presented in this chapter.
