Due to the defects of traditional water assessment method, this paper constructs a model based on genetic neural network model. This paper analyzes the BP neural network and the basic principles and characteristics of GA, Discusses the theoretical foundation of optimizing the weights and thresholds of BP neural network based on GA, This model is used to actual water evaluation, which proved the optimized neural network based on GA has been improved in convergence rate and convergence property. The results of the evaluation with the actual water quality results and fuzzy evaluation method, evaluation results of the index evaluation are compared, the results show that the genetic neural network model is suitable to water Evaluation.
