Abstract

This chapter elucidates various techniques for precisely measuring the electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding and fire-retarding characteristics of polymer-based materials. It explores a range of methodologies, including spectroscopic techniques, microscopy, thermal analysis, and electrical conductivity measurements. By providing a comprehensive overview of these techniques, the chapter equips researchers and engineers with the necessary tools to accurately assess and optimize the performance of graphene-bearing polymer composites in EMI shielding and flame-retardant applications. Through detailed discussions and practical examples, this chapter is a valuable resource for advancing the understanding and development of innovative materials with enhanced EMI shielding and fire-retarding properties.
