Zusammenfassung

Das Thema Digitalisierung hat sowohl in der Unternehmenspraxis als auch in der wissenschaftlichen Diskussion eine enorme Aufmerksamkeit erfahren. Eine Vielzahl an Untersuchungen aus unterschiedlichen Disziplinen, mit unterschiedlichen Blickwinkeln und in unterschiedlichen Kontexten hat zu einer fragmentierten Forschungslandschaft geführt. Der vorliegende Beitrag zielt darauf ab, im Rahmen einer bibliometrischen Analyse zu einer Systematisierung dieser Landschaft beizutragen. Der Beitrag geht der Beantwortung von drei zentralen Fragestellungen nach: 1) Was ist Business Digitization? 2) Wie hat sich die Forschung zur Business Digitization im Zeitverlauf entwickelt? 3) Was sind die bestehenden Forschungsgebiete und welche Implikationen ergeben sich für die weitere Forschung? Der Beitrag richtet sich an Entscheidungsträger in Unternehmen mit Bezug zur Digitalisierung und IT sowie an Forschende auf dem Gebiet der Digitalisierung, insbesondere Business Digitization.
