Abstract

China is the most populated country in the world, counting with almost 1/5 of the world population. This fact and the scarcity of resources, namely arable land and water, cause the perspectives of growth of its agricultural production to be limited. Additionally, the rising of the living standards of the great part of its population, increasingly available to pay high prices makes the search for high quality and reliability products rise.
