Abstract

The regulation of food-trading activities in Brazil implies the intervention and action of several entities. As a matter of fact, the food sanitary control model in Brazil is fragmented between two entities from the public administration: the Ministry of Health, through the National Agency for Sanitary Supervision (ANVISA), and the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply, as the main responsible bodies.
