Abstract
This chapter comprehensively expounds the findings concerning the role CoPs’ knowledge and innovation developing efforts may play for the innovative capability of a rigid and, therefore, slowly reacting public hierarchy. In this regard, the following three subsections illustrate how CoPs foster the sensing and seizing of opportunities and, furthermore, initiating the transfer of innovative solution in order to stimulate the adaptation of the organization. Afterwards, the results are discussed which, finally, leads to the derivation of an intermediate conclusion ending this chapter.
