This Special Issue focuses on distributing interactions to facilitate Universal Access. Current technology and ICT models generate configurations where the same user interface can be distributed through different devices. These new technological ecosystems appear as a result of the existence of many heterogeneous devices and interaction mechanisms. Consequently, new conditions and possibilities arise which not only affect the distribution of the user interfaces (DUI), but also the distribution of the involved users’ interactions. Thus, we move the focus from addressing the distribution of user interfaces to the distribution of the users interactions, which poses new challenges that deserve to be explored. This new scenario can face the challenges of Universal Access from new perspectives. …
