Abstract

To achieve e-learning sustainability, the current study aimed to investigate the efficiency of blended e-learning. The researcher developed a special questionnaire consisting of (50) items and two open questions, implemented on a random sample of 50% of the students studying the National Education Course at the German-Jordania University in 2021. The results showed that the total efficiency degree of blended E-learning was moderate: “Electronic Exams” ranked first, “Teaching through Videos” ranked second, “Technical use of the electronic platform” ranked third, “Appropriateness of blended e-learning” ranked four, and “Students’ regular study through the electronic platform” ranked last. There were significant differences in favor of the students who dealt seriously with e-learning, with no significant differences in gender, experience, and academic year. The results also demonstrated several advantages and disadvantages of blended e-learning to achieve e-learning efficiency and sustainability, especially for the first-year university students of social studies and humanities. The recommendations focus on some skills that help students be integrated into e-learning, the teaching methods, technological infrastructure, and the model of the optimal education time distribution between e-learning and traditional learning.
