High impact strategy research by overseas Chinese scholars in leading business journals: 1991–2011

Abstract

Overseas Chinese scholars play an important role in the field of management and organization studies. In this paper, we summarize high impact strategy research to rank overseas Chinese scholars’ productivity in the field of strategic management based on papers published between 1991 and 2011 in the top 24 business journals defined by the University of Texas at Dallas and three additional journals with an expressed mission of publishing and developing research focused upon China and the Asia Pacific region. The top three most productive scholars are: Yadong Luo, Mike W. Peng, and Ming-Jer Chen, and the top three most cited scholars are: Mike W. Peng, Yadong Luo, and Ming-Jer Chen for the examined time period.
