Zusammenfassung

Ägypten und seit jüngstem Tansania schlagen nunmehr auch vor, über einige Änderungen am Kooperationsrahmenabkommen zu verhandeln, damit es durch alle Anrainer angenommen werden könne. Tansania regt dazu ein Treffen aller Nilanrainer an. Ägypten geht erkennbar auf die anderen Nilanrainer zu und erstmals seit 2010 nahm der ägyptische Wasserminister am 19. Februar 2015 mit einer technischen Delegation wieder an einem außerordentlichen Treffen der Wasserminister der Nilbeckenstaaten teil. Er erklärte, Ägypten sei offen für Änderungsvorschläge zum Kooperationsrahmenabkommen, um die bisherigen Meinungsverschiedenheiten zu überwinden. Ägypten hat angekündigt, dass es Vorschläge zur Lösung der noch ausstehenden Fragen des Abkommens unterbreiten werde.
