The Psychology Department at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand, was profiled in the APA Monitor in 1998 as the world’s southernmost psychology department. Dunedin is a city of about 120,000 people, with 17,000 students, and is the home of the oldest university in New Zealand. Currently the department is composed of a collegial mix of 24 full-time academic staff, 33 research fellows and part-time teaching staff, and a talented team of 20 technicians and administrative staff. Full-time staff come from New Zealand, Australia, England, Ireland, Canada, and the US. …
