Bosch and Mahle intend to sell their joint venture Bosch Mahle Turbo Systems (BMTS) to FountainVest Partners. The private equity investor will take over the entire business, including around 1300 employees across all locations, pursuant to an agreement signed by the parties in September 2017. FountainVest intends to further expand the turbocharger usiness and set BMTS up for long-term growth. FountainVest is convinced that the turbocharger market is set to continue growing in coming years, reflecting their key role in emission reduction solutions in particular. New ownership opens up significant perspectives and growth opportunities for BMTS in attractive markets such as China and North America, says Dr. Rolf Bulander, Chairman of the Mobility Solutions business sector at Bosch.
