Out of 130 articles presented in CCSN 2017 held in India, 18 papers were selected for the extended version in the Microsystem technology. Authors of these selected papers were intimated to add 50% more research advancement concerning the presented one in CCSN 2017 along with the change of titles. Also, it was advised to compare the modified articles with state-of-the-art recent research papers to justify improvements. The modifications were checked by the guest editors and only after that the papers were uploaded by the authors to the portal of MST. The articles were reviewed as per the norms of the Microsystem Technologies journal. Based on the reviews, articles were modified by the authors, and also modified papers were reexamined. 16 research articles are selected for publication in this special issue. …
