Abstract

How to ensure the high reliability of high-speed train is also facing the new challenges. The traditional reliability growth only focuses on the early development phase of high-speed trains, resulting in missing the growth information that is collecting form the whole life. This article gives an eye to the whole life cycle of high-speed train, and introduces a scientific and reasonable reliability growth management method. Furthermore, take the traction system of a high-speed train for example, this paper make a detailed description for steps of implementation reliability growth. Firstly, reliability growth planning is laid down. And then fault tree analysis (FTA) and failure mode effect analysis (FMEA) technology is used to formulate a growth scenario. Finally, we verify the effect of reliability growth management by means of the train’s actual operation. Results show that, comparing with the original reliability index value Mean Distance between Failures (MDBF), it has raised after take the first batch reliability growth measures for traction system.
