Zusammenfassung

Selbstführung bedeutet, dass Mitarbeitende selbst entscheiden, was sie tun, warum sie etwas tun und auch wie sie bestimmte Ziele angehen wollen. Selbstführung kann die klassische Führung durch Führungskräfte meist nicht ersetzen. Sie sind vielmehr sehr wichtig, um Selbstführung in Organisationen erst zu ermöglichen. In diesem Kapitel beschreiben wir die Entwicklung des Konzeptes der Selbstführung in der Wissenschaft, ob und unter welchen Umständen Selbstführung die richtige Wahl ist und was Führungspersonen, Teams und Organisationen tun können, um Selbstführung lebendig werden zu lassen.
