Cadillac is showing the first pictures of the new Cadillac CT5 mid-sized saloon before its unveiling at the 2019 New York International Auto Show. The CT5 will replace the ATS and CTS models.

Cadillac has launched a dedicated social media campaign for its new CT5 model and released the first pictures of this saloon. The CT5 is based on the advanced Alpha platform and is intended to succeed the ATS and CTS model lines. It appears to be somewhat more rounded than its predecessors.
The CT5 will be powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine in the base model or by a 3.0-litre six-cylinder biturbo engine. A ten-speed automatic gearbox will be used for both versions. Both rear-wheel and all-wheel drive are to be available. Situated below the CT6 model, the CT5 Luxury and Sport model lines will enter series production in the USA in Autumn 2019. It is still unclear whether and when the model will be sold in Europe.
