Informationsüberlastung bei digitaler Zusammenarbeit – Ursachen, Folgen und Interventionsmöglichkeiten

Zusammenfassung

In diesem Beitrag der Zeitschrift Gruppe. Interaktion. Organisation (GIO) analysieren wir den aktuellen Stand der Forschung zu Einflussfaktoren und Folgen von Informationsüberlastung bei dem durch moderne Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien (IKT) vermittelten Informationsaustausch im Team. Wir erörtern, welche Wirkungsmechanismen zu einer Überlastung bei der Informationssuche und -verarbeitung sowie bei Entscheidungs- und Kommunikationsprozessen im Team führen, und diskutieren mögliche Interventionen. Den Schwerpunkt legen wir dabei auf empirische Arbeiten und auf die Differenzierung von Ursachen und Ressourcen sowie Interventionen auf der Teamebene. Aus den vorliegenden Befunden leiten wir Konsequenzen für die weitere Forschung und konkrete Hinweise für die Praxis ab. Insbesondere erläutern wir, wie Führungskräfte durch Aufgaben- und Teamgestaltung, Schulungsmaßnahmen und Teamreflexion Informationsüberlastung vermeiden und zu einer effizienten IKT vermittelten Kommunikation im Team beitragen können.
