Abstract

Biomimetic robots are robots that incorporate the structure and characteristics of life. Although they imitate the structure and characteristics of living things, most of them are composed of electronic devices and mechanical parts. Therefore, they have a high environmental load. To solve the problem, this study aims to realize a non-electrically driven robot that does not include electronic devices or mechanical parts. To acquire this feature, we focused on the phenomenon in which oats perform expansion and contraction movements under dry and wet conditions and have developed a non-electrically driven robot consisting only of oats with awns. The developed robot operates autonomously by controlling the amount of water from the outside. The developed robot operates autonomously by controlling the amount of water given from the outside. The proposed robot is a robot with less environmental load unlike conventional robots as it is composed only of organic substances that exist in the natural world.
