Abstract

Performance of the hydrostatic slide is influenced by design parameters, and changes in some parameters can effectively improve the comprehensive performance of the hydrostatic slide. In this paper, a new model is established to predict the comprehensive performance of hydrostatic slide accurately under different design parameters. The stiffness, response time, and temperature rise are considered the evaluation index of the static, dynamics, and thermal performance of the hydrostatic slide. The model is developed based on the relationship between slide performance and design parameters, such as oil film thickness, hydraulic system parameters, and restrictor parameters, which is explicit and easily acquired in practical application. The experiment results agree well with the results calculated by the optimization model. By comparison, the performance of hydrostatic slide designed by the optimized parameters is much better than that of the slide designed by the original parameters. The model provides some suggestions for design process in the view of comprehensive performance.
