Zusammenfassung

Dieses Kapitel verwendet Erkenntnisse aus dem Foul Play Project (FPP), um zu analysieren, welche Faktoren die behördenübergreifende Zusammenarbeit der Strafverfolgungsbehörden in Fällen mit Todesfällen und möglichem Fremdverschulden erleichtern oder einschränken können. Das FPP basiert auf einer Zufallsstichprobe von 5366 Fällen mit möglichen Straftaten, die in den Medien berichtet wurden. Faktoren, die die Strafverfolgung interbehördlicher Zusammenarbeit beeinflussen können, sind die Merkmale der Todesfälle; Verhaltensweisen der Opfer, Merkmale der Opfer, Familienmitglieder und die Art der beteiligten Verbrechen.
